Learn to sew on your own machine, bring along your sewing machine and learn to use it, troubleshoot problems and sew with confidence. This four-week block is aimed at absolute beginners who want to gain confidence in using their machines. Don't have a machine then I will provide excellent basic model for you to learn on.  Mother and daughters(13+ )welcome.


All materials and sewing equipment are provided.

£75 per block, payment in full secures your place.

Weekly Studio Sewing Classes


New to sewing or ready to get back on the stitchin saddle? This is a mixed ability designer led sewing class and on offer are some fantastic step-by-step creative sewing projects or bring along a project of your own. All designed to hone your stitching skills and build confidence. These classes take place in Studio 13 at the Fire Station Creative in the heart of Dunfermline. Sewing machines and some materials are provided. Tea and biscuits compulsory! Spaces are limited to 6 , so book early to avoid disappointment.

Daytime :

Friday 10am - 12pm from 20th April to 15th June for 8 weeks (break for Open Studios on 18th May)

Evening :

Tuesdays 6.30 to 8.30pm from 17th April - 5th June

Thursdays 6.30 to 8.30pm from 19th April 7th June

Always wanted to know how to take up your clothes, well look no further ! This class will show you machine and hand techniques to hem trousers, skirts etc. A great class for all ageslooking to revamp their wardrobe or alter their clothes. All welcome.


Learn how to hem, by hand and machine. We all need to take things up from time to time, from a pair of jeans to a dress. This class will teach you essential hand stitching and some machine stitching techniques as well as how to measure, pin and cut correctly. This is a great class for teenagers as well as adults who want to alter their clothes using hand stitching techniques.


Saturday 17th March 10am - 1pm
